Who I help
Care for children, teens, and adults through life’s challenges and changes
My goal is to reduce suffering, increase joy, and foster well-being. I provide scientifically supported care, tailored to the values and needs of each person, for adults, college students, teens, children, and the parents who support them.
Adults
Support for depression and low mood, anxiety and OCD, tics and hair pulling, and the stress that comes with major life changes, during daytime hours that fit a working schedule.
Therapy for adultsCollege students and young adults
Help with the move to college, independence, and early adulthood, with telehealth across 5 states so students can continue care while away at school.
Children, teens, and parents
Individual therapy for children and teens, plus parent training and consultation that help families navigate each developmental stage together.

Meet the clinicians I work with
If my hours are not the right fit, you will not have to start over
Alongside my own practice, I co-founded Evidence Based Psychological Care, Inc. in Calabasas, where I serve as a Clinical Director. Our clinicians there provide therapy for children, teens, young adults, and parents, as well as psychological and neuropsychological evaluations.
I keep a limited caseload, and my openings change from week to week. If I do not have a time that works for your family, or if another clinician is simply the better fit, I will point you toward one of my colleagues there. We practice in the same Calabasas office suite, and these are clinicians I helped bring onto the team and whose work I know.
I am a co-owner of Evidence Based Psychological Care, Inc. and serve as a Clinical Director there, so please know that I hold a financial interest in the practice I am recommending. I recommend it because of fit and availability, and you are of course free to see any clinician you choose.
Janie Venturina, LMFT
Janie works with kids and teens on weekday afternoons and evenings and on Saturday mornings, in the same Calabasas office suite where I practice, or by telehealth anywhere in California.

Reaching out is often the hardest part
You should not have to make 5 phone calls to find out who can help. Whichever of us you end up working with, you will not figure this out alone.
